AI MEDIA AWARD 2026 – Official Film Reel
A NEW CREATIVE LANGUAGE IS EMERGING
21 award-winning films. Six international categories. One Swiss Special Award. Creators from around the world exploring what becomes possible when AI meets human imagination.
The AI Media Award 2026, presented on 27 October at Kongresshaus Zurich, offered a compelling snapshot of a creative field evolving at remarkable speed.
Across advertising, animation, art, fashion, music and narrative filmmaking, this year’s awarded works demonstrated that generative AI is moving beyond technological experimentation. It is becoming a creative instrument in its own right — enabling individual creators and small teams to develop cinematic worlds, distinctive visual languages and ambitious stories that only a few years ago would have demanded considerably larger productions.
Yet the strongest works also made one thing clear: technology alone does not create compelling content. As technical barriers continue to fall, the qualities that matter most become increasingly human — the idea, storytelling, direction, taste, rhythm, selection and point of view.
International Jury
The 2026 works were evaluated by an 18-member international jury of experts from film, advertising, technology, fashion, media, communications and AI content creation.
To ensure an independent and impartial assessment, all works were anonymised during the judging process. Jurors were not informed of the identity or country of origin of the creators. The evaluation focused entirely on the work itself: its creative concept, narrative quality, visual execution and professional use of AI.
